Took my father here for the buffet. Our meals were delicious! The sweet and sour pork, ginger beef, won ton soup, and maple chocolate cake were my favourites. My dad loved the seafood, ribs, and carrot cake! We had an amazing meal, and excellent service. Our server was kind, helpful, and an absolute treasure. She was one of the best servers I’ve ever had anywhere. The drinks were also delectable, and I liked the variety on the menu. I would highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be coming back :)
It's our 1st time to dine at Driftwood and we are so glad that we did.... They have nice asian varieties and everything has their own different flavor. We got lucky because we got there as they open. All the food is served fresh and hot. Love it!!! Location and Ambiance is great! For the price its good for a buffet restaurant...
This place was awesome the wonton soup, did tasted a little weird, but it still tasted really really good and the spring rolls. They were very hot, but they were very very good as well Everybody should try this place. If you haven’t, you should go now while you still can.
Went for the first time the other night. Food was wonderful. Very clean and did not have to wait. Only thing I could recommend is lowering the price of the buffet. 75 (with tax/tip) for 2 people to eat a serve your self meal is a bit far of a reach in my opinion.
Amazing food with a good ambience and service! We had been planning a visit for quite sometime but I'm glad we finally made it on Feb 14 this year I was missing chinese food and this restaurant will be my go-to! Service is a bit slow but thank god it's a buffet. We really didn't wait for anyone to hand us the cutlery or the plates. My son also loved the food there. Thanks guys, keep up the great work
Nanaimo newest Chinese restaurant and buffet has finally open after 3 years of setting up. Tonight I tried their dinner buffet to see how it stacked up against Hong Kong house and Shanghai in town. Dinner buffet is 27.95 for adults or see my photos for other prices. The dinning room and restaurant is beautifully done up. The service is also better than your typical Asian restaurant. They were attentive, friendly and the bus boys did a great job cleaning up. The food is slightly above average in quality but the deep fried food could use less batter. The selection is similar to Shanghai but less than Hong Kong house. Quick update: We tried the weekend dim sum lunch buffet. There were 8 dim sum items offered. Best was the steam shrimp dumpling and the worst was the 3 different types of Sui Mi (pork, beef, seafood). The dim sum is not on par with the real dim sum restaurants 2/5. The cost of quality dim sum is likely an issue for them, so they cost cutting shows in the dim sum . The rest of the buffet is good 5/5, but overall today I scored them 4/5.

Went last night. Food was quite nice. Everything was hot and fresh. 20 for lunch and 30 for the dinner buffet all you can eat. I’m absolutely obsessed with the marble cake with mocha frosting on the dessert buffet lol
